Is Switch to America an MLM? No. It Is a Better Way to Shop (2026)

October 03, 2026

The short answer

No. Switch to America is not an MLM. It is a better way to shop.

You order the everyday things your home uses up. Beef, snacks, vitamins, laundry soap, makeup. Over 575 products, delivered to your door.

You never sell anything. There is no inventory. You can pause or cancel any time.

The FTC says an MLM means "selling products to family and friends and recruiting other people to do the same." That is not what you do here. You just shop.

What can you buy?

Quick answer: over 575 products. The everyday things your home already uses up.

The same kinds of things you buy every week, made cleaner.

So think of it as a store. Not a sales job.

What about the things people worry about?

Quick answer: here they are, side by side.

What people worry about with an MLMShopping with Switch to America
Sell products to family and friendsNo. Shoppers never sell anything. Reselling is not allowed. Everyone buys straight from the manufacturer and the ranch.
Load up on inventoryNo. There is no inventory. Nothing to stock, store or resell.
Prices above what stores chargeFair prices for what you get. Forbes ranked the manufacturer number 2 in America for value.
Pay a buy-inNo buy-in. Shoppers have a small membership.
Get locked inNo. Pause or cancel any time. 100% money-back guarantee.
People quit fastThe opposite. The manufacturer reports that 96 out of 100 shoppers who order one month order again the next.
Hide what people really earnNo. The manufacturer publishes what its business leaders earn every year: the high, the low and the average.
Big promises about moneyNone. You are here for better products at fair prices.

Many of these worries come from the FTC's own page on multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes.

Why do people ask?

Quick answer: because people who love it tell their friends.

When you love a store, you tell people. Here, if a friend you told keeps shopping, you earn a little for it. Some people like that part and build on it.

But nobody sells to their friends. Nobody buys inventory. Nobody pays a buy-in.

Some people also mix us up with other websites that have similar names. Here is how to tell which site is ours.

Where does our money go now?

Quick answer: to giant stores and brands. Walmart alone takes in over $1 million a minute.

$1.36 million

every minute, all year long

Walmart's total revenue for the year that ended January 31, 2026 was $713.2 billion. That is about $1.36 million a minute. Source: Walmart's results, filed with the SEC.

Every payday, so much of our money goes right back to stores like Walmart. And most of what they sell us is toxic.

Switch to America is how we take our money back. Same shopping list. Better products, shipped to your door.

Who are we up against?

Quick answer: not other home businesses. The giant companies behind the brands on store shelves.

There is a famous chart of the brands we buy, often called the wheel. It shows hundreds of brands we have bought our whole lives, and the 11 giant companies that owned them.

Here they are, with a few of the brands you know.

Johnson & Johnson

Johnson's baby, Tylenol, Neutrogena, Aveeno, Listerine, Band-Aid (now sold by Kenvue)

Procter & Gamble

Tide, Pampers, Crest, Dawn, Charmin

Unilever

Dove, Vaseline, Axe, Hellmann's

Nestlé

Coffee mate, Gerber, Stouffer's, Purina

PepsiCo

Lay's, Doritos, Gatorade, Quaker

Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola, Sprite, Dasani, Minute Maid

Kellogg's

Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops (now owned by Ferrero). Pringles and Cheez-It (now owned by Mars).

Mars

M&M's, Snickers, Skittles, Pedigree

General Mills

Cheerios, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Nature Valley

Mondelez

Oreo, Ritz, Chips Ahoy!, Triscuit

Kraft Heinz

Heinz, Kraft, Oscar Mayer, Lunchables

Who owns what changes. This list is current as of October 2026.

And who are their biggest shareholders? At most of them, Wall Street money managers like BlackRock and Vanguard. You can see it in their own reports to shareholders, like Johnson & Johnson's and Procter & Gamble's.

So you think you are choosing between brands. Most of the time, the money goes to the same few places.

Here is the public record on the big brands that fill those shelves. Recalls, lawsuits and settlements, with a source on every line.

Start with Johnson & Johnson

J&J made the baby powder many of us grew up with.

  • In 2020, J&J stopped selling its talc baby powder in the US and Canada. J&J's statement. In 2023 it switched to cornstarch worldwide. J&J's announcement.
  • Tens of thousands of people have sued, saying the talc powder caused their cancer. In July 2026, J&J offered $5.5 billion to settle about 76,000 ovarian cancer claims. The deal is not final yet. J&J's filing. J&J denies the claims and says its talc is safe.
  • In December 2025, a Baltimore jury awarded more than $1.5 billion to a woman who said the company's talc gave her mesothelioma, a rare cancer. J&J is appealing. The Daily Record.
  • In 2021, J&J recalled five Neutrogena and Aveeno spray sunscreens after its own tests found low levels of benzene in some samples. Benzene is known to cause cancer. The recall notice.

J&J's old baby and drugstore brands now belong to Kenvue, which split off from J&J in 2023. Kimberly-Clark, the manufacturer of Huggies and Kleenex, has agreed to buy Kenvue.

The rest of the wheel

Here is what the companies and the agencies have posted. Newest first.

Recalls are the companies' own announcements. A lawsuit is a claim until a court decides it.

That is who we are up against. Not your neighbor with a home business. The giant companies on that chart.
